Attorney Philip F. Spillane received his B.A. in 1975 from the University of Connecticut and his J.D., cum laude, from Western New England College School of Law in 1978.  Attorney Spillane has been practicing law since 1978 in the areas of Personal Injury,  Workers' Compensation. Attorney Spillane served as president of the New Milford Bar Association and as a member and Chairman of the New Milford Ethics Commission. Since 2016, Attorney Spillane has been a Partner in the Danbury and New Milford Law Firm, Hoekenga & Machado, LLC. 

Attorney Spillane's efforts in the case of Harpaz v. Laidlaw Transit, Inc., successfully argued to the Connecticut Supreme Court, set a statewide precedent regarding injured workers' rights when the employer fails to properly contest the claim.
